Genmol software: A breakthrough technology
Competitive advantages over existing molecular modeling software
GenMol software, the core technology of Genoscience has been developed over several years by the team of Gérard Pepe, previously Director of Research at the CNRS (French Center of Scientific Research).
GenoScience finalized the acquisition of GenMol in mid-2001 and has developed specific applications in disease management and drug discovery.

1 GenMol is an automated molecular modeling system.
2 3D visualization of the result is based on structural data.
3 The user of GenMol is able to directly modify target structure in a completely interactive manner. The software allows for the rotation, elongation of the target structure in order to obtain “in vitro” results “in silico”
4 Incorporation of algorithms for conformational analysis and high number of parameters (more than 3,000) allows an accurate and rapid calculation of the energy of association.
5 The aqueous environment of the ligand and the enzyme is taken into account when calculating the energy of association.
6 GenMol allows the modeling of small molecules and biologic Polymers (proteins, ARN, ADN, and peptides). GenMol incorporates a library of fragments within the software.
7 GenMol has the capacity to identify and correct errors present in protein structures extracted from the PDB (Protein Data Base). Currently no other software on the market is able to remediate this problem.
